Mandala Magic

Mandala Writing during hand operation and recuperation 2026

"Many hands make LIGHT work"

Dear Friends, as you know, I write mandalas every day. I do it because I believe in the uplifting energy created by using and writing positive words. This becomes a process of immersing oneself in mindfulness, being present NOW, and enjoying the serenity.

I need to pause while I care for my wrist. I will have a hand operation mid August, resulting in healing, then plaster on my hand/wrist for at least six weeks. As my dominant hand is also giving arthritic niggles, I am being encouraged to suspend my diligent, beautiful daily Mandala writing. I shall miss it so much!

I am wondering if you would like to join a collective of hands that keep the words flowing. You can download templates here. (www.earthhealershandbook.net). This site also gives plenty of detail of ‘how to’ if you feel that would assist.

You can scroll through my years of pages on Facebook (Jenny Funston or Mandala Peace Arts for ideas, and your own ideas will come. I like to think of the mandala writing continuing, and perhaps while my hand is resting, my heart can support others to keep the work afloat. I also have https://mandalaearthappreciation.blogspot.com, and see I need to update a few things there.

If you choose, you can send through the mandalas (small, medium, elaborate or humble) to me and if you allow, I can keep up my daily posting of mandalas. You can make them anonymous or not. It is not about outcome, but process.

Would you like to write while my hand rests? This sharing would bring me great joy and delight.

I have heaps of different small, medium, large mandala templates I can send if you email me.

Let’s play.

As well as what I would call the ‘usual’ Mandala form, maybe you could consider going to the beach, drawing some concentric circles in the sand and writing words within that. Imagine the sea coming at high tide to carry your beautiful offerings far and wide.

Spirals too can work; the idea is to keep moving in a circular motion, flowing energy of light.

Words on colourful paper or written in colourful pens can be pasted to create a mandala.

Make a box; really the use of mandalas to create positive processes is endless.

Take photos!

Infinite gratitude, love, fun and laughter,

Jenny

I am not sure if you can print an A4 copy of this sheet from here.

MANDALA CREATIVITY

I haven't written in this blog for a long while, but today brings great change; it's time to share some more.
These little boxes created by marking out on stiff card A4 size and then decorating in your own way, placing at least one small mandala of positive words upon it.

You can create this type of mandala by writing positive words on coloured paper, or use plain paper and write with coloured pens, then glue them in a circle.

Silvana writing a mandala

Mandalas can be written for anything. Using ONLY positive words, we create a loving energy that uplifts, even though most people cannot see the vibration. Think of a smile and what it does to you and to others. We FEEL the intent of the smile and then our body responds.

This mandala was created by stitching positive words onto a woollen background. I traced concentric circles with a blue washout pen, stitched with wool, washed it then backed it with flannelette.
